Though we approach summer with excitement, it is a time of moving on. To the next grade, the new thing, but that one thing that will stay with you forever is memories. High School is such a wonderful time in a person’s life. You get to meet new people and enjoy taking exciting classes. As the Seniors move on and go off to college, they will look back on all of the fun that they had here at West Salem High School. The class of 2023 was kind enough to share some of their favorite memories from their time in high school, let’s hear what they said!
“I really like working with my announcements team at West, the people that I work with are great and we are always laughing all the time,” Shelby Rose Long says.
“There are so many good ones, my top one was scoring the game winning goal in soccer against Summit, on the academic side it was my honors research science project, but what I will remember the most is the connections that I have made with others,” Ciela Acosta reminisces.
Isaac McDonald shares, “One of my favorite memories of West is Youth and Government.”
“I loved the Friday night football games, and then going out for ice cream with friends afterwards,” says Charlotte Haworth
“I really enjoyed all of the fun tennis practices with my teammates,” says Pardis Ahmadi
Roxie Maurer recounts, “My favorite memories are the people that I have met and the friends I’ve made.”
Regardless of whether it was on a soccer field or in the classroom, all that the class of 2023 has dealt with in their high school career is incredibly commendable. Though we will miss all that they brought to West, we could not be more proud of all that they have accomplished. Thank you, class of 2023!
